I've been using KnowBrainer to customize commands if I need something special so long I can't remember anything about using DNS professional scripting which I was struggling to learn because I didn't know of knowbrainer yet. I'm guessing if I want to create macros that will interact between websites and data on my computer, I should get a professional version and get to learning?

Although KnowBrainer 2011 includes a lot of commands that are not natively available in NaturallySpeaking, KnowBrainer is more limited. You cannot individualize commands for a specific user and it isn't as easy to export and import commands into newer versions of KnowBrainer, as it is in NaturallySpeaking. The Preferred/Premium to Pro 11.5 Upgrade also offers easier ways to create simple commands like the Macro Recorder and step-by-step. We don't care for the Macro Recorder but the step-by-step option is nice and there is a lot of support for creating Advanced Scripting commands in Larry Allen’s Scripting for Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 which is the Gold Standard in DNS Advanced-Scripting guides.
DNS Pro Advanced-Scripting is also more capable and better yet, your existing KnowBrainer command software has 30 additional commands that will only work in DNS Pro, such as being able to capture the x & y coordinates of a precise Mouse Position. You can import these additional commands by saying Import KnowBrainer Commands but don't try it in DNS Premium. -------------------------
