Without more detailed information its next to impossible to answer your question.

We need to know:

1. Your system hardware configuration (i.e., CPU make, model, speed, total amount of RAM, etc.).

2. What version of Windows are you using (i.e., Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and whether or not it's 32-bit or 64-bit)?

3. What flavor of DNS 11.5 (i.e., Premium, Professional, etc.)?

Once we have that information we can answer your question. It also might be helpful if you attached a copy of your Dragon log. With the new KnowBrainer forum you can simply attach it in its original format as Dragon.log. In fact, it would be a good idea if you would do that anyway.

Welcome to the World's Most Popular Speech Recognition Forum

Chuck's questions are very relevant however, keep in mind that the built-in microphone in your iPhone isn't exactly designed for speech recognition. iPhones and iPads are jack of all trades but master of none. The fact that you can use your iPhone as a digital recorder or a wireless microphone doesn't mean you should and we certainly wouldn't recommend it for serious use.

We recommend using a real soundcard & microphone. If you fill out your user profile, we will have a better idea of what you're using for a computer and how the speed of your computer relates to speech recognition. Without that information, we have to guess but what we can tell you is that when NaturallySpeaking has difficulty understanding what you said, it can easily take 4 times longer for your dictation to hit the page while NaturallySpeaking struggles to comprehend what you said. Interestingly enough, your accuracy may be fairly decent but sluggish behavior is one sure sign of a substandard sound system or an underpowered computer.

Just to piggyback on Lunis's answer, I have a first-gen iPad and a 4th-gen iPod touch. Both devices have inferior microphones to what's in the iPhone. The Remote Mic app is perfectly servicable in a pinch and convenient under the right circumstances, but extreme latency before recognition is not uncommon. Of course, if you can provide Chuck with the information he's requested, it will be easier to pinpoint whether the latency is due to the inferior microphone, or due to some other interaction between the Dragon software and your system. How's recognition when using DNS with a headset or desktop microphone?
