Often my transcriptions look like they used to look decades ago using Dragon before the user was trained well. Is there anything I can do to get more accurate transcriptions? -------------------------

We are not certain how similar the DS-2400 settings are to the DS-9000 line but you should begin by checking your microphone and sensitivity settings. The DS-9500 default settings are Mic mode Dictation 1 and Mic sensitivity low. We only recommend these settings for transcription
Note that we do not carry the Olympus DS-2400 because it doesn't quite meet our standards. We appreciate that the DS-2400 uses DS2 algorithms, like DS-9500, but it does not include professional dictation features like seamless punch-in. It also doesn't include the DS-9000 professional microphone that is even better than our best headset microphone. The only way we can think of, to make your DS-2400 recordings more accurate, other than the details outlined in the 1st paragraph, would be to use an external microphone like the SpeechWare FlexyMike DEC (most comfortable) or the Audio-Technica Pro 8HEmW microphone (most noise filtering) ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2022 |
