Anyone have recent experience using Dragon with an AMD Ryzen processor? The last comments on the forum are a little dated (in microprocessor age anyway). I have always used Intel CPU's, but have been impressed by the reviews of the Ryzen Processors. Thinking about doing a new build and wanted to get some feedback. Thanks. ------------------------- DNS 15 DPI, KB2017, Voicepower (latest version), i7 920,12GB RAM, Samsung EVO 250 GB SSD, WD 1Tb Caviar HD,Win10 Pro 64 bit, Plantronics CS-55, Andrea Soundpod/ASUS N53S laptop i7 2670Q w 16GM RAM with USB Speechmatic Travelmike |

I have always gone for an Intel myself but the Ryzen is fast becoming a decent adversary. I suppose what you use your computer for can also decide it for you. I dug this out for you to have a read. ------------------------- Tiger Feet |

I built a Ryzen rig this year (R 7 3700X) and it works fine. No better or worse than my old Intel for Dragon and single-threaded things. The Ryzen's have gobs of power. I made sure I had fast SSD on-board M2 disks as well. ------------------------- Win10/x64, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 64GB RAM, Dragon 15.61, SP 6 PRO, SpeechStart, Office 365, KB 2017, Dragon Capture, Samson Meteor USB Desk Mic, Klim and JUKSTG earbuds with microphones, 3 BenQ 2560x1440 monitors, Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard and fat mouse |
