Hello

While I have seen this mentioned before-I have never seen it in this context.

Last week I received a new laptop from work and I am currently still setting up (still a few apps to install).

The laptop came with office installed (365) and I prefer using the desktop application.

Anyway when my laptop boots up and after it loads Dragon, I receive a dialogue box saying "Dragon has lost connection with Microsoft Outlook. Please restart Microsoft Outlook to restore the connection.". This is before I have even turned on the Dragon microphone AND before I have even launched Microsoft Outlook.

This has only started in the past hour and I was only rebooting several times because, totally unrelated to this issue, I was amending windows XML files to remove pinned applications on the task bar.

Please ignore the above post. Outlook had disabled the Dragon add in because it was slowing outlook down. I have chosen to enable it anyway and the dialogue has disappeared.

Microsoft 365 includes both local and cloud support in the same installation. In other words, you can have it both ways. Most of us prefer the local installation for several reasons, including Select-&-Say (Full Text Control)
