I am training up a new profile (and this time it is going well). I opened up my old profile, exported custom phrases and words, switched back to my new profile, imported the words, but any words with a spoken form and not in my vocabulary-why?

I will admit, I did remove some custom words that I don't think I will require (I used notepad). The contents of the file are:-

I am going to partially answer my own question:-

I was missing the line
@Version=Plato-UTF8
at the top of my file (stupidly thought it was a word that Dragon added and I did not need)

It has now imported all my words except the first one-work email address-yes quicker just to add it manually but I am intrigued as to why that may not have imported.

Probably because of the @ sign. Some characters are not suited for import.

I have quite a few email addresses with @ in the written form of my custom words.

however, @ is frequently a problem, as has been discussed in other posts by me and others. Dragon for some reason occasionally insists on inserting @ as an alt-graphics code.

You can enter email addresses manually, but you can't import them. Probably collides with whatever the @ in @Version=Plato-UTF8 is doing.

We had no problem importing our email address via Import list of words or phrases as: 

Written Form: Lunis@KnowBrainer.com 

Spoken Form: lunis at no-brainer dot com 

from Dragon 3 to 4 to 5 to 6 to 7 to 8 to 9 to 10 to 11 to 12 to 13 to 14 to 15
