I don't know if there is a solution to this.  After I make a recording on my Olympus 2400, I plug it into my computer and the audio files are transferred to the computer. Simultaneously they are deleted from the recorder. Is there any way I can copy them from the recorder without having them deleted? Then I would delete them later.
Thanks – Lloyd

We only sell the professional Olympus models which include the Pro Dictation Module utility but the option you are looking for should be similar. From within the Dictation Module click Tools/Options/Workflow and remove the Chevron (round checkmark) from Move to recycle box

Then I'm calling it by the wrong number since I bought it from you and you helped me set up all the stuff (all of which works beautifully}.

That aside, you must be tired of hearing my saying "forgive me for being so stupid" but - where do I find the "dictation module?" Is it on my computer somewhere?

Finally, I'm pleased that you suggested in answer to my other question that I try creating a different user who isn't me or however they for say it. That's exactly what I tried right after I wrote to the forum. It's Tuesday to tell, but it might be working.
Thanks - Lloyd

Now that I looked at your page that has all the recorders, I believe mine is a DS-2600.  Sorry.  My mistake. big surprise

The DS-2600 is not just a more recent release of the DS-2400; it's also an improved unit. It doesn't have the DS-9000 microphone but transcription should still be highly accurate and we don't recommend replacing it. See our previous post

I wasn't thinking about replacing it. Anyway, how do I find that dictation module?

If it's software that was supposed to come with the recorder, it didn't.  I'm looking at the empty box now. Is it software I can download?

I searched for the dictation module on my computer, and I found it. I've attached a snip file of what it looks like (attachment dss 1). Then when I click on dictation module, I get the next screen (attachment DSS 2). Neither of those choices leads me to Tools. So what am I doing wrong?
Thanks – Lloyd

You only need File Explorer to locate your recordings. Your options are located within the Dictation Module utility, like other programs. You need to begin by launching Dictation Module. If you don't see a shortcut or if it doesn't open automatically type Dictation Module into the Windows Search field. Note that we do not own this utility and don't have the option of installing it because we are using the professional version. With that in mind, our instructions may not match your menus but hopefully they are close enough.

PS: We NEVER use the Dictation Module. Most Dragon end-users prefer the convenience of Dragon's AutoTranscribe Folder Agent which is detailed in the KnowBrainer Dragon Installation/Training Guide, which also includes pictorial details on fixing 30 sandtraps.

Well then I'll just continue to not use it. Thanks
